His girlfriend, and the mother of his son Bear, Cheryl was in the audience to cheer her man on.

But Liam made sure he took a chance on camera to warn off Myles, who previously admitted he fancied the Girls Aloud star.

When asked by Dermot O’Leary who he was backing, Liam said:“I think Kelvin [Davey White] is good.

“I think Rai-Elle did a great job of opening the show.”

Looking around, Liam then pointed and said: “And him, he fancies my missus so I’ve got to keep an eye on him!”

The Sun reported last week how Myles had a crush on new-mum Cheryl, who had her return to the show hijacked by a prankster.

Myles got all bashful and became red-faced as he made eye contact with the former Girls Aloud star.

They impressed the duo with their performance and as the boys left Simon couldn't help poking fun at him.

He said: “You like her don't you?”

Myles looked embarrassed as Liam's other-half quickly said: “I'm taken, sorry!”

Simon then couldn't resist saying: “Anything can happen on this show!”

Myles wasn't worried about meeting Liam however, telling The Sun Online earlier this week: “I'm genuinely excited [to meet him].

“Liam and the rest of One Direction have done so much this year and hopefully we'll get to spend five, 10 minutes with him and pick his brain - it'll be interesting.”
