But it is now up for grabs at a ‘silent’ internet auction in which the highest bid will be accepted without it being revealed.

No expense was spared pimping the 2011 van, which from the outside if a replica of a The Mystery Machine from the legendary 1970s cartoon series with Shaggy, Scooby and Velma.

Inside are heated leather seats from a Bentley inscribed with the initials LM and ZM for Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson.

Five cameras keep an eye fans outside – and there’s even said to be a water jet to keep them at bat if they get to boisterous.

It has plush seats and a roof  covered in comic book pages

The roof is made from old comic books under Perspex finish, while the carpets have under-floor heating. There’s also a fridge and a microwave.

It has been kitted with a huge 55″ Sony Bravia plasma TV screen and two smaller ones on the sides, a Sony PlayStation, Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Wii.

The sound system boasts four 12” subwoofers powered by a Sony amplifier and a laser light show system for parties.

It is being sold by Ashtons car dealers near Newton Abbott, Devon.

There’s lots of screens inside which no doubt kept the boys entertained

Sales manager Oliver Cox explained: “We know someone in the trade who is a friend of Zayn and got it a few months ago.

“It is in perfect condition and only done 3,000 miles.

“The van was supposed to take One Direction on tour across America, but when it arrived there it hit copyright problems because of its Mystery Machine branding and had to be shipped straight back.

“There has been a lot of interest in it. I’m hoping for six figures for it, and the bids are already getting towards £100,000.

“It is certainly different from the usual Mercedes, Porsche and Land Rover we sell!”
