Cara Delevingne reveals she was forced to ask a fan to buy her booze because she didn’t have ID
CARA Delevingne has recalled how she asked a fan to buy alcohol for her because a shopkeeper thought she didn't look over 16 years old.
The supermodel-turned-actress, who is actually 25, told Graham Norton she was trying to buy a bottle of wine - and despite starring in several huge blockbusters, the person behind the counter asked to see her ID.
Suicide Squad Cara is estimated to be worth almost £14m in 2017 and also has a famous older sister Poppy to cadge booze off.
So whoever stepped in to help the pixie-haired star ought to have asked for their cash repayment pronto.
Cara said: "The other day I went to the shop to buy a bottle of wine and I got ID’d because they said I looked 16.
"At the same time a fan in the queue asked for a picture – it was all so embarrassing and then I had to ask him to buy the wine for me! It was actually all very funny."
Perhaps Cara was looking to buy some wine to share with her on/off musician girlfriend St Vincent.
The pair were snapped looking loved-up together last week for the first time since their emotional split in September 2016.
It's thought St Vincent's new romantic song New York, including the lyrics
, is what brought them back together. No doubt the romance - and possibly Cara's claim that Harvey Weinstein tried to involve her in a threesome - will be brought up on Graham's show, which airs Friday night at 10.35pm on BBC One.
Cara is on the show with fellow screen stars Emma Thompson, Adam Sandler and Claire Foy, who we now know will be replaced by Olivia Colman in the role of Queen Elizabeth in The Crown.
Morrissey will also perform live in the studio.
