Amanda Holden calls herself a ‘t*t’ after accidentally asking Tim Peake about going to the MOON on This Morning

AMANDA Holden has called herself "a t*t" after accidentally asking Major Tim Peake about going to the moon on This Morning.
The British astronaut appeared on today's show to discuss his new book about his time in space, and all was going well until Amanda asked a burning question.

She said: "A question I'd like to ask and I don't know whether you'd be allowed to answer it really as it might be a naughty thing.
"When you went to the moon, did you take a piece of the moon and bring it back home with you?"
Being the polite man he is, Tim tactfully explained how he never went to the moon, and that he remained in the International Space Station for the entire six month expedition.
"So you never got off?" Amanda asked, "and there was nothing floating about that you could steal?"
When Tim replied there wasn't, the conversation quickly moved on, but not before Amanda's cheeks had gone as red as her outfit.

After the show, Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan tweeted: "Did Tim Peake bring these guys back from the Moon?" sharing one of Amanda's posts at the same time.
Laughing off her gaffe, Amanda replied: "Honestly. We howled in the break #sofunny I'm a t*t" alongside a crying with laughter emoji.
During the interview, Tim also made a few revelations which left Amanda and co-host Ben Shephard stunned.
Having been asked what the most disgusting thing about living in space was, Tim replied: "Because we don't use our feet to walk, so we feel no pressure on our feet and all the dead skin on your feet completely sheds off.

"And after about a month and a half... it's great if you want a pedicure, the best pedicure in the world. You have baby's feet when you come back from space.
"But when you take your socks off, all of that dead skin sheds off and it goes everywhere."
Amanda made a face as Ben cringed. "So you have to do that close to one of the return air filters otherwise you become one of the least popular members of the air crew.
