Who is Noah Schnapp? Stranger Things actor playing Will Byers

STRANGER Things fans fell in love with Will Byers, the young boy who disappeared and was forced to survive in the terrifying Upside Down in season 1 of the hit TV series.

Now that season 4 has been released, and as we await the show's finale in 2024, here's a little more on actor .

Who is Noah Schnapp?

Noah was born on October 3, 2004, along with his twin sister, named Chloe.

He reportedly caught the acting bug when he was five years old and saw the Broadway production of Annie.

By the time he was 8, his acting coach had recommended that he make a serious move toward professional acting.

While he began in voice roles, such as Charlie Brown in the Peanuts movie in 2015, and the voice of Jay in 2016's The Angry Birds Movie, he made his debut as an on-screen presence in Steven Spielberg's 2015 film Bridge of Spies, and the next year, he landed the breakthrough role of Will Byers on the Netflix show Stranger Things.

He also took on the title role in the 2019 indie drama Abe, which tells the tale of a 12-year-old boy called Abraham who has a passion for cooking - but has never known a family dinner without arguments.

Busy Noah also starred as Jo in 2020's Waiting for Anya and took on the role of TJ Swift in Intensive Care, also released in 2020.

in 2022, Noah joined the cast of The Tutor.

While he isn't filming for big roles, the 18-year-old star has maintained a vlogging and lifestyle YouTube Channel under his name.

Though he hasn't posted recently, he's still maintained a fanbase on the social media video platform of 4.91million followers.

Noah has 27.7million followers on Instagram (as of January 5, 2023) and 31.6million followers on TikTok.

What did Noah Schnapp say about his sexuality on social media?

Noah Schnapp came out as gay to his 31.6million TikTok followers with a message on January 5, 2023.

On the post, Noah wrote the following text: "When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was, ‘we know.’"

In the adorable post, he features a video of himself lip-syncing over an audio bite, which says: “You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, it will never be that serious.”

The caption to the clip read: “I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought”

This is, of course, a similarity that Noah shares with his character Will, who in season four expressed feelings for his buddy Mike (played by Finn Wolfhard).

When was Stranger Things season four released on Netflix?

The next-to-last season so Stranger Things was released in two parts: the first seven episodes were released on May 27, 2022. The second installment, which was the final two episodes, was released on July 1, 2022.
