Celine Dion reveals rare picture of her twins Eddy and Nelson on their seventh birthday
CELINE Dion has shared a rare snap of her twin boys Nelson and Eddy to celebrate their seventh birthday, declaring herself a "proud" mum.
The Canadian singing superstar, 49, hugged her sons in a rehearsal room for the happy picture - posted almost two years on from the death of their dad Rene Angelil, Celine's husband.
My Heart Will Go On hitmaker Celine also revealed how much her sons love Michael Jackson as there were several figurines of the late singer in the background - while the boys both wore Jackson-style clothing.
But the eccentric star made sure to mention her third son Rene-Charles, who turns 17 next January, in the post as well.
Celine wrote: "Can’t believe you are already 7 years old… Time flies!
"Happy birthday, my loves! I'm so proud of all of my boys! Mom xx..."
The little lads were born on October 23 2010 when Celine was 42 and their dad was 67 years old.
Pink wrote a song for Celine following Rene's death which she dedicated to the victims of the 2017 Manchester and London terror attacks during a performance at the O2 in June.
The couple had first met when Celine was just 12 and Rene became her manager before mortgaging his house to fund her first album in 1981.
When Celine was 18 they began a relationship, though Rene was 46 years old at the time.
Initially the couple struggled to conceive but they had Rene-Charles in 2001, before Celine suffered a miscarriage in 2009.
Then they had their twins a year later, and they were named Eddy, after Eddy Marnay, who produced Celine's first five albums, and Nelson Angélil, after former South African president Nelson Mandela.
Rene also had a son by his first wife Denyse Duquette plus a son and daughter by second wife Anne Renee.
Since Rene's passing Celine has kept herself busy with relentless performances and even toured Europe this year, though she will now return to her Las Vegas residency in November - with rumours circulating she will be eventually replaced by Adele.
