Who is Alfie Boe?
Alfie Boe is a tenor and star of the stage born September 29, 1973.
He is the youngest of nine and grew up in Blackpool, Lancashire.
Boe's first public performance was when he was 14 at Fleetwood's Marine Hall in a Songs from the Shows presentation organised by the local singing teacher Lottie Dawson.
A few years later, he moved to London to study singing at the Royal College of Music, the National Opera Studio and the Royal Opera House's Vilar Young Artists Programme.
In 1999 and 2000, he was featured as the opera dude on albums by the Clint Boon Experience, led by the former organist of the Inspiral Carpets.
In 2010, Boe became a household name when he played Jean Valjean in Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Concert.
When did Alfie Boe meet Michael Ball?
Michael, who was appointed an OBE in 2015 for his services to musical theatre, met Alfie Boe, 44, when they were co-stars in a production of the musical Kismet in London.
Since then, they have forged somewhat of a musical “bromance” and last year featured in a second TV special singing hits from musicals called Ball And Boe Back Together.
Alfie and Michael released their third joint album, Back Together, in 2019.

Since 2016, he has performed in the musical version of Finding Neverland on Broadway after making a permanent move to the States.
In 2002, the dad-of-two's work in Baz Luhrmann's revival of La boheme helped the production bag a Tony Award.
He has sold over one million albums in the UK, won a Silver Clef Award in 2011 and was nominated in the 2008 Classic Brit Awards for Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year.
Some of his most memorable hits include Puccini: Nessun Dorma (2006), Music of the Night (2011), Bright Over
Troubled Water (2012) and Come What May (2010).
Is he married and does he have children?
Alfie is married to Sarah Boe, who he met while rehearsing La bohème in San Francisco, and the pair tied the knot back in 2004.
They have two children together; a daughter called Grace and a son called Alfred Robert.
Alfie said of his kids: “But when my little girl, Grace was born, it hit me that this job wasn’t about me anymore. It’s about making sure she and my son, Alfie have a good life.
“They are also showing signs of becoming good performers. They entertain themselves and everyone else around them.”
