BAKE Off viewers were shocked tonight when Stacey Hart just missed out on the final - while "rubbish" baker Kate Lyon got through to the final three.
Tonight's semi-finals saw Stacey misfire with her flamingo meringue centrepiece and ultimately lose out to finalists Sophie Faldo, Steven Carter-Bailey and Kate - who managed to scrape by with a psychedelic rainbow creation.
Stacey's flamingo showstopper was labelled a "takeaway dish" by Paul, and he said it was "very tart" - while Prue Leith commented that it was "too sweet".
The 42-year-old ultimately fell by the wayside after making choux pastries, a Les Miserables layered cake and her very pink meringue showstopper bake.
Her showstopper was not deemed as good as Steven's meringue hot air balloon, Kate's rainbow and Sophie's ballet tutu - which won her star baker.
"I can go back to being a good mum," said a tearful Stacey after being told she was leaving. "At least I can leave on a high!"
However, fans were quick to point out Kate did not do very well this week, messing up her Les Mis cake and creating a rainbow "splat" as a showstopper.
"It's a bit of a splat of flavour and colour," said Paul of Kate's rainbow.
"That is Kate on a plate," argyued Prue. "It's a celebration of flavour and colour."
But the same thing was not said of Stacey's unicorn-themed choux pastries which were not liked by viewers or the judges.
Meanwhile Paul was very cutting about Stacey's flamingos, saying she plopped them "on top of two puddings".
And sadly the Jewish baking enthusiast didn't get to hear Noel Fielding's special flamingo song as she didn't get through.
Other viewers were outraged that Liam Charles was not present in the semi-finals after being voted off before Stacey.
Now Steven, Sophie and Kate will fight it out to become the Great British Bake Off champ, following on from Candice Brown last year.
Fans were not happy about Kate being within snatching distance of the trophy.
S0me even threatened to "quit" Bake Off if the Scouser made it through after making so many mistakes on past rounds.
Elsewhere, viewers were crying out for #justiceforliam, saying he is a better baker than Stacey or Kate.
Viewers will have to pick one surviving baker to support in the final as the rules stipulate Liam cannot be brought bake from the doughy dead.
The Great British Bake Off concludes next Tuesday at 9pm on Channel 4.
