Stephen Bear’s ‘brother Danny’ slams ‘controlling’ Charlotte Crosby saying she ‘put him down and tried to destroy his confidence’ in furious Twitter row
CHARLOTTE Crosby has been conned into an argument with a scam artist on Twitter - after becoming convinced it was her ex Stephen Bear's brother, Danny.
The Sun Online has confirmed with sources close to Bear that the person in question, named "Gordon" on Twitter, was not Bear's brother Danny, and was instead just a cruel troll who didn't correct Charlotte's assumption.
In fact, self-made millionaire Danny – who has earned his fortune in property development – doesn't even have an account on the social media site.
However, Charlotte remained convinced that she was being targeted by her ex's big brother following the breakdown of her relationship with Stephen.
The fight started on Monday afternoon when a follower chastised Bear on Twitter for “pulling a girl at an Essex nightclub” while “wearing a watch his girlfriend gave him.”
Hitting back, “Gordon” responded: “The money he spent far exceeds a second hand watch. Bought her luxury holidays, jewellery and bags. She made him miserable, he got out.”
He then commented to another follower: “Never had his back, controlled, put him down &tried to destroy his confidence by being the bigger ‘star’. Get ur facts right b4 commenting.”
When a third fan said that Stephen had “thrown away a year long relationship after two days”, he lashed out again and added: “When you finish you do so for a reason. What’s 2 days got to do with it exactly? He couldn’t carry on, there’s 2 sides to every story.”
However, when Charlotte saw the messages, it appeared she was convinced she knew who was behind the account, and responded: “Danny leave it out now.”
As the barrage of comments continued, Charlotte then stepped in and took over the fight, and in a long set of tweets addressing the situation wrote: “Danny I actually can’t believe you are saying this…you no how much I loved Stephen, I helped him so much with his career…
“I pointed him in the right direction to a good agent. I helped him with his social media. I always had his back on every show I went on.
“And your dad even knows that! That’s what he prided me most in. Stephen went on various holidays and attends about 3 pas a week…
“I’m confused how I could be controlling but have no problem with him going on holiday to Las Vegas. Me and Stephen have had MANY…
“Happy memories, and the last 2 months you may well be right we had our fair share of arguments and it wasn’t going the best…
“But every relationship has its ups and downs. It’s unfortunate how the last 2 months have panned out and the things that has gone on [sic]
“That’s not a reflection on out whole relationship however, 9 months out of the 11 we were really really happy. And both loved each other.
“So please don’t tarnish our whole relationship. I will never say a bad word about stephens family. And my family would not slag him off online either.”
“But you were the one who started to slag me off on here? So if that’s the case just stop now.”
Clearly not done with the argument, "Gordon" then responded: “I’m not going to go public on the details.”
“I’m not going to have this with you on a public forum Charlotte and I don’t want to pushed to.”
“It unfortunately washes with the gullible, and you’re v good at it. But there’s a lot more to this than you’ve craftily tried to allude to.”
Charlotte then accused "Danny" of tarnishing her relationship with Bear, and added: “You’ve wanted me gone for a while like you have all his other gfs.”
The mystery scammer then ended the conversation by saying: “NEVER spoken publicly about you and maintain I never would, and for the record neither did I want you gone either. U did that by yourself.”
The Sun Online has contacted Bear and Charlotte’s representatives for comment.
Meanwhile, Stephen took to Snapchat to demand an apology because he had “done nothing wrong” – revealing the pair had split up two days before the meet up.
He scathed: “Everyone's saying I've cheated, I'm the worst person in the world blah blah blah, but the facts are we're broken up for two days, after that, I can do what I want, I'm single.”
Bear continued: "Lastly, there's two sides of every story.
"If I was together and I done something, granted it's a liberty.
"But it's not the case, you can ask her yourself, it's not the case. So I think I deserve an apology."
