Coronation Street spoilers: Pat Phelan and Eileen Grimshaw spot Summer Spellman’s evil grandmother at a Christmas concert – but will Pat try and get rid of Geraldine for good?
Weatherfield villain looks poised to strike again in new snaps from the set showing Phelan glaring at homophobic gran who has blocked Eileen's son from adopting her granddaughter
PAT Phelan may not be putting his evil side to bed just yet - as he's been seen glaring at Summer's homophobic grandma Geraline Spellman, an enemy of his girlfriend Eileen Grimshaw.
New Christmas scenes show psycho Pat joining Eileen attending a carol concert - and it seems he may not be able to resist getting up to no good when Geraldine shows up preaching about the sanctity of marriage and parenthood.
Eileen is already at loggerheads with Geraldine because she opposes her son Todd's wish to adopt Summer with partner Billy Mayhew.
And the evil Geraldine has already disowned her son Drew - Summer's adopted father, now deceased - for being gay.
Since Drew asked for Billy and Todd to become Summer's parents, Gerladine has tried to block this on the basis that it would be "poisonous" and "unhealthy" due to their homosexuality.
But if Geraldine gets on Pat Phelan's wrong side because of upsetting Eileen it might be the last time she ever preaches the will of God.
It doesn't take much to persuade Pat to act with violence and intimidation, as his kidnapping and torture of Andy Carver has shown - as well as his brutal rape of Anna Windass.
So Geraldine better steer clear of the twisted property scammer if she values her life.
These pics from the set also show Eileen with three large stitches across her left eyebrow due to a mystery illness.
But she seems to be very loved-up with Phelan as they're holding hands at the church concert.
Little Summer Spellman, played by Matilda Freeman, was also seen on the set of the soap attending the concert in school uniform.
The carol concert was a popular event as Weatherfield patriarch Ken Barlow turned up as well as Sophie Webster, looking very glamorous.
But actors weren't the only ones busy on the set.
Bald nutcase Phelan has rapidly become one of the most popular soap villains of all time, and actor Connor McIntyre was seen posing for a picture with a fan.
Recently the acclaimed actor spoke of how it feels to learn that his character's name is now being used as slang to mean bad behaviour or a bad person.
His character is set for a fall soon, though, when his daughter Nicola Rubinstein discovers the horrifying truth about what happened to her mother.
- Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights on ITV
