WHAT can't you miss on TV tonight? Our guide to the must-see shows...
NEW! Your Song, 9pm, ITV
A chance for Emma Willis and various benevolent pop stars to make a bunch of British folk very, very happy with the gift of song – their songs (well, not Emma’s, she’s more the shoulder for everyone to cry on).
The famous faces surprise deserving fans in various unexpected and emotional situations.
There’s Paloma Faith giving two fellas their dream wedding after having already helped them get engaged, with not a dry eye in the house.
James Arthur writes a beautiful, heartfelt song for a woman who has bravely launched an anti-bullying campaign. Rita Ora (right) goes back to visit someone at the youth club of her teenage years in an inspirational return.
And The Script sing for a grieving woman doing her best to recover from the tragic loss of both her mum and her long-term partner.
As for Little Mix, their surprise will remain just that until the night itself…
This is a tear-jerking one-off, but given that it’s made by Simon Cowell’s SyCo, we can see a series beckoning.
The Last Post, 9pm,BBC One
The search for young George continues, and while Mary remains remarkably composed, Harry loses it with a suspect.
Alison, meanwhile, gets a surprise at the doctor’s and another cliffhanger keeps us hooked until next week.
The intrigue continues as we pass the halfway mark, with unanswered questions including: what does reporter Martha know about Joe’s (Jeremy Neumark Jones, above) past?
LAST IN SERIES! Louis Theroux: Dark States – Murder in Milwaukee, 9pm, BBC Two
A trip to Milwaukee in Wisconsin, USA, leads Louis into a nightmare of violence, guns and murder.
Initially, he embeds himself with police, before spending time with a family who have lost a member in a shooting. It’s well-trodden ground but Louis takes a nuanced view of a complicated tragedy.
NEW! Robot Wars, 8pm, BBC Two
Angela Scanlon and Dara Ó Briain (above) are once again at the helm of this returning series, but now there are perilous new obstacles, including Fog of War, which makes it hard for the teams to see.
The competition is as ruthless as ever and the passion on display – not to mention time and money spent – is immense.
We love the ingenious robot names too – go Donald Thump!
