STACEY Solomon has backed fellow Loose Women star Katie Price following her spectacular clash with Love Island's Chris Hughes.
This week the former Page 3 model revealed some of the 52 flirty messages he sent her on Snapchat - which he always denied.
The row erupted with Chris branding her "a piece of rotten s***" in a statement released on Twitter before quickly deleting it.
Now Stacey has backed Katie over the bitter row.
Speaking at this week's Pink News Awards in London, she praised her pal for being such "a strong individual."
Stacey told the Sun's Bizarre column: " I don't think she would outright lie to the public and she's managed to come up with the proof of what she's talking about."
Chris, 24, shamed Katie by posting “flirty” messages she had sent him via Instagram and WhatsApp.
He also claimed she was "bitter" that he had "pied off" her advances and always denied he responded.
But Katie, 39, revealed he really did reply after she told of the screen shots of exchanges over Snapchat at the launch of her latest book, Playing with Fire.
He responded with a sprawling rant on Twitter, telling his followers: “I couldn’t give a s*** who I offend anymore. I stand on my own and always will. I don’t need to people to get me. Katie Price you’re a piece of rotten s***.
“I couldn’t give a f*** about you. Be a mother, be something respectful for everyone’s sake.
"No one deserves your s***, and I ain’t one to take it. You f*** lives. You have MY number, you can see I haven’t sent you s***. You’re washed up and you stink.”
But Stacey, 28, says she believes Katie is the injured party and wasn't about to allow the mistreatment of a fellow Loose Woman.
She said: "She's one of us and I really admire her courage. I admire the fact that she doesn't care what anybody thinks.
"But I do feel sorry for her. I think sometimes people take advantage of her good nature."
