The X Factor viewers confused as Michelle Keegan’s ex Brad Howard is missing from the Six Chair Challenge
Brad took to Instagram to explain his absence and teased fans that his musical journey is far from over
X FACTOR fans were left stumped after hopeful Brad Howard was nowhere to be seen on the Six Chair Challenge episodes.
Brad - who had a two-year relationship with actress Michelle Keegan - had previously sailed through the first stages of the singing competition.
Despite wowing the judges and the audience at home, Brad didn't make it through to Judges' Houses and to make things even worse for the singing hopeful, his attempt wasn't even broadcast on TV.
Fans flocked to Twitter to express frustration at 30-year-old Brad's absence with one writing: "Right so I watched tonight's Six Chair Challenge back because I thought I'd missed a bit... where the hell was @BradHoward3?"
Another commented: "I'm so confused, where did @BradHoward3 go?! Been waiting for him all weekend to realise he hasn't been shown!!"
One devoted fan urged Brad not to give up on his dreams, tweeting: "Can't believe they didn't show your six chair. Gutted you're not through to Judges' Houses. Don't give up on singing."
A fourth follower took to social media to vent: "I'm sorry but I personally think X Factor are bang out of order for not showing @BradHoward3.. Guys got pure talent."
Brad Howard took to social media to explain his absence from the Six Chair Challenge stage and to confirm that he did participate.
Writing on Instagram, he revealed: "Catching up on last nights @thexfactor, shame you didn't get to see me up there but what journey that was.
"Performing in front of 5,000 at Wembley was absolute nuts! Met some proper legends & friends for life, buzzed off every single minute of it. #WatchThisSpace."
He later followed it up with a backstage selfie from the Six Chair Challenge heat. Brad teased fans by captioning the candid shot: "Just the start."
Following Brad's explanation, one hopeful fan tweeted: "Maybe you'll be the wild card?"
Brad dated actress Michelle Keegan for two years between 2008 and 2010.
When asked about his relationship with the Our Girl star, he told ITV's Lorraine: "A long time ago, she's a beautiful girl Michelle.
"She's a great girl. Fair play to her, she's doing amazing."
Continuing to heap praise on Michelle, who became a Coronation Street favourite in her role as Tina McIntyre, he said: "She's a great girl and got a lovely personality."
He added he had watched the soap star, now happily married to Towie's Mark Wright, in her gritty BBC drama Our Girl after dating the actress for two years, prior to their 2010 split.
