Former Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones says the band was a front for a ‘prostitution ring’ and the singers were ‘abused’ by music executives
FORMER Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones has alleged that the chart-topping girl group appeared to be just a front for a "prostitution ring".
The former member of the band which made Nicole Scherzinger famous took to Twitter last week to share the shocking claims, while the Harvey Weinstein scandal was rocking Hollywood.
She wrote: "My truth. I wasn’t in a girl group. I was in a prostitution ring. Oh & we happened to sing & be famous. While everyone who owned us made the $."
Kaya, who was in the group from 2003 - 2005, claimed she had to "sleep with whoever they say" and said they were "all abused".
She also cryptically tweeted: "I want the den mother from hell to confess why another 1 of her girl group girls committed suicide?"
Pussycat Doll founder Robin Antin responded to the claims and told the allegations were "disgusting, ridiculous lies".
She added that Jones was "clearly looking for her 15 minutes".
Choreographer and entrepreneur Robin founded the Pussycat Dolls, as well as girl group G.R.L.
In 2014 G.R.L.'s lead member, Simone Battle, committed suicide while the group's breakthrough single Ugly Heart was climbing up the charts.
There has been no confirmation from Kaya that she was referring to either Antin or Battle.
Kaya added: "To be a part of the team you must be a team player. Meaning sleep with whoever they say. If you don’t they have nothing on you to leverage … Yes I said leverage.

"Meaning after they turn you out... they use it against you. Correct. Victimising the victim again."
"How bad was it? People ask — bad enough that I walked away from my dreams, my band mates & a 13 million dollar record deal. We knew we were going to be #1."
She continued: "Why don’t we report it? Because we are all abused! I personally have been warned if I tell I will ... you know end up dead or no more career."
On Sunday, the former member also claimed the girls did not make much money despite their chart success.
Kaya stated: "Robin & the record label made all the money. We as Pussycat Dolls were paid $500 a week. While we were being abused & used. Fact!"
The Blast has reported that Robin claims Kaya had only been part of the band on a trail basis and was never made an official member of the group.
Kaya's tweets comes just days after it was revealed the group will be reforming for a new tour.
Nicole Scherzinger has agreed to get back together with fellow dolls Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Kimberley Wyatt and Melody Thornton.

British star James Corden was forced to apologise last night after making a series of ill-advised gags about the accusations while hosting the AmfAR Gala in Los Angeles yesterday.
The comedian said he was "truly sorry" to anyone offended by his comments, after Rose McGowan berated him in a scathing rant.
