Cheeky Doc Martin writers sneak in string of very rude names for patients
DOC Martin writers have snuck in a string of patients with rude names — including Paul Mycock.
The medic, played by Martin Clunes, has already seen Anita Bush and Drew Peacock in his surgery.
Dan Gleballs, Ben Twilley and the milder Theresa Green have also arrived with various ailments — with Mr Mycock set to pop up in the coming weeks.
A source said: “The writers do not take things too seriously on Doc Martin.
“It’s all very tongue-in-cheek and gives both viewers and the actors a good giggle.”
Jessica Ransom, who plays medical receptionist Morwenna Newcross in the ITV drama, said it has become an in-joke on set.
She said: “We always put in funny patient names, we’ve had a lot of fun putting a few of those in. We had a nice old lady the other day who was Alice Cooper.”
