Strictly’s Gemma Atkinson enjoys dinner with her ex Ryan Giggs amid rumours of romance with dancer Gorka Marquez
GEMMA Atkinson has continued to fuel speculation about her love life after enjoying dinner with former fling Ryan Giggs.
The Strictly star and footballer were joined by pals including Gemma’s dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec and BBC comms head Vicky Ownes, for dinner at George’s in Manchester, with her sharing the picture on Instagram late last night.
She captioned the snap: “Thanks for having us! Fab night in George's Restaurant introducing @aljazskorjanec to the old school gang ✌🏼#Mates #Oldskool @vicky_owens”
But fans cared less about the food and more about why Gemma and Ryan were together after the were seen on a date in February.
One commted: “Wait wait wait... Giggs?”
Another asked: “Back together ?”
But someone else pointed out that the ex Manchester United star owns the place: “It’s Gigg’s restaurant that’s no doubt why he was there 😆”
Gemma, 32, and Ryan, 43, were spotted on a date at George’s nine months ago following a flirtation at Christmas and during his divorce battle with Stacey Cooke.
An onlooker told The Sun: “Gemma was wearing an elegant strappy top on with her hair put up and Ryan seemed very impressed.
"He kept sneaking glances at her.
“He looked like he was enjoying himself, certainly not a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders.
“There was definitely a spark there.
"They gave each other their undivided attention, and kept leaning across the table to get closer."
Gemma is a die-hard United fan who has previously dated Ryan’s former Old Trafford team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile rumours of a romance between Gemma and Alexandra Burke’s dancing partner Gorka Marquez continue to grow.
Gemma shut them down at the weekend, telling The Daily Star: “I really don’t want to talk about my love life to be honest.
“I don’t feel I need to respond to anyone about what I’m doing.”
She added: “I’ve had to talk about who I’m dating for the past 15 years. You’ve got to take everything with a pinch of salt.”
However Alexandra is “furious” about the rumours and worries they will ruin her chances of winning the competition.
A source told The Sun: “Not surprisingly, Alexandra is furious about how it might affect her chances of winning.
“She’s very ambitious and is nervous about it all.”
