Cara De La Hoyde and on-off boyfriend Nathan Massey return to Towie to film scenes for their glamorous baby shower amid rumours they’re back together again
CARA De La Hoyde and her on-off boyfriend Nathan Massey have returned to Towie to film scenes for their glamorous baby shower amid rumours they're back together again.
The Love Island winners are coming back to the show to shoot their own personal story line and they will be revealing big news about their romance.
The couple, who split shortly after Cara, 26, discovered she was pregnant, will finally open up their relationship status after keeping fans guessing over the last few weeks.
They have previously only had brief appearances in the show, but The Sun can reveal they could now stay on for the entire series.
A Towie insider said: "Cara and Nathan remain popular with fans so there’s a big demand to have them back.
"They’ve kept a low profile recently so it’s a great way to update everyone on their situation and whether or not they’ll get back together.
"They’ll continue to film cameos but there’s no reason why they won’t at some stage join the show full time."
They were spotted filming their baby shower scenes at posh restaurant La Sala Chigwell this week.
Towie stars flocked to the lavish bash with guests including Georgia Kousoulou and her boyfriend Tommy Mallet, Chloe Meadows, Amber Dowding and Courtney Green.
Nathan, 25, also dropped a huge hint about whether he and Cara are back together as he was spotted kissing her baby bump outside the venue.
But he later seemed to backtrack in a post on Instagram as he shared a snap from inside the party.
Nathan wrote: "Even though we may not be together, we are remaining best of friends just like old times for our baby boy, and honestly it's the happiest we've been !!
"Thank you for every 1 that turned up for making today so special for us !!!!"
It comes after Cara, who is due to give birth in November, recently admitted they are dating again after parting ways in early April following a series of "silly" arguments.
She told magazine: "He comes round and helps me sort out stuff with the nursery.
"He'll stay for a takeaway and a film, but it's not at the sleepover stage!
"It's proper dating - if we'd have met like this a year ago, it's how we would have been....
"It's nice, as we miss each other. It's exciting again."
Fans will have to watch the show to find out whether there's a happy ending in store for the Love Island couple.
