Game Of Thrones’s Jaime Lannister slams the show’s plan to film several different endings to prevent plot leaks as ‘stupid’
Episodes and script summaries of the show were leaked and appeared online last series
GAME Of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau says plans to film multiple endings to the show are "really stupid."
The 47-year-old actor, who plays Jaime Lannister in the hit series, also cast doubt on reports the drama will go to the costly lengths to prevent plot leaks.
He told : “Do you think that’s true? It seems really stupid to me.
"I mean if it’s true I don’t believe it, but I don’t know, maybe."
“I haven’t read the script, so unless they will show several endings that could be a twist, they’re not going to waste that money. They know how expensive it is to shoot.
"You’re not going to waste $100,000 (£75,000) a day to shoot something you’re not going to use. It’s not going to happen.”
His comments came after HBO Head Of Programming Casey Bloys said that even the cast wouldn't be told how the show will end.
He said: “I know in Game of Thrones, the ending, they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that nobody really know what happens."
He added: “You have to do that on a long show. Because when you’re shooting something, people know. So they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that there’s no real definitive answer until the end.”
HBO bosses are keen to stem the tide of leaks after episodes and script summaries were leaked on the web last year.
The penultimate episode of the season - Death Is The Enemy - appeared on file-sharing sites after it was accidentally posted on HBO Spain's web platform.
It followed the leak of an episode after a security breach in India which led to four arrests.
And back in August, Game Of Thrones script summaries also found their way online after HBO was hacked.
