STRICTLY Come Dancing fans were crying fix on tonight’s show after Aston Merrygold and Janette Manrara stormed to victory with a stunning score of 32.
The former JLS member impressed with a series of complicated lifts during his salsa to Despacito with the petite professional dancer.
In an incredible series of stunts, Aston was seen throwing her over his back, dragging her across the floor and supporting him with just his foot.
Dubbed “a snake-hipped wonder” by Bruno Tonioli, the pair were awarded the first 9 score of the season by him, just two weeks into this series.
However, once again the star’s impressive performance was marred by viewers who felt it was unfair that someone with professional training was being given such high praise on the show.
One fan wrote: “# So Ashton was a judge on a dancing competition. How is that allowed? Fix I say.”
Another thought that such an impressive start may come back to haunt him, and said: “ I kinda hope Aston goes the way that Pixie Lott did and doesn't make it to the final. People want to see progress.”
While a third tweeter joked: “How is Aston Merrygold allowed on with thousands of hours dancing under his belt already.
“It's like ex-pros playing in 5-a-side tournament and hammering everyone. Time to do a Tonya Harding on his knees.”
Another mentioned that his past as a judge on a talent show also meant he shouldn’t qualify to take part, and said: “Aston simply shouldn't be on this programme, he was a judge on another dance show and is about as semi professional as it gets ”
However, no one could deny how impressive the dance routine was, and shared how stunning
“Give Aston the trophy now!!!! That was amazing!!!! Shame they f*cked up the end!! ”
Another added: “Shall we just hand Aston the glitter ball and save all the embarrassment ”
While a third eager fan confessed: “Had to rewind and watch Aston and Jeanette’s salsa for a second time. Incredible! ”
Tomorrow will see the first pair of dancer’s go head-to-head in a dance off before the judges decided who is eliminated from the competition.
