Louise Redknapp’s husband Jamie steps out without his wedding ring just a day after the singer broke her silence about their troubled marriage
JAMIE Redknapp has stepped out without his wedding ring just a day after his wife Louise broke her silence about their troubled marriage.
The former player was covering this afternoon's football for Sky Sports - and his left hand was noticeably bare.
Jamie, 44, was covering the game between Huddersfield Town and Tottenham Hotspur, and was caught on camera without his wedding band.
He has been seen wearing the ring in recent weeks despite his split from pop star Louise, 42, but he now appears to have left the symbolic piece of jewellery at home.
It comes just 24 hours after Louise finally opened up about their marital problems in a candid interview on This Morning.
The 42-year-old singer admitted she has been going through "hard times" as she discussed her marriage breakdown for the first time since The Sun exclusively revealed the famous couple had split back in July.
She was still wearing her wedding ring while she was being quizzed about the state of her marriage by host Eamonn Holmes.
Louise said:"I think that it has been so heavily documented, and of course we all go through hard times.
"My priority and his priority is our children, and protecting them and keeping as much of it as private as possible, and loving them and putting them first - and that’s what we're focusing on."
Louise and Jamie were married for 19 years, and have two sons together, Charley, 12, and Beau, nine.
Eamonn went on to ask if work had helped her at all, and she candidly told him: "I think going back to work has been a real saviour for me.
"Doing Strictly, it does something. For me, it was all about performing, and to go back on stage every night and getting the opportunity again, because you never know, in this business opportunities don't always come along.
"You have to hope... so to have the opportunity to go and work and be out there, I'm loving doing that."
Louise is currently at the centre of claims she is seeking a “quickie divorce” from Jamie.
The Sun previously revealed how Louise quit the marital home after the Strictly curse struck their relationship.
After the split, insiders close to Louise claimed the “newfound independence” she gained from her stint on the dance show was driving her on to formalise the breakup with a divorce.
The Sun revealed their marriage had broken down in June, with insiders saying Jamie was desperate for the pair to stay together.

Louise was recently seen still wearing her wedding ring, even after Jamie cut her out of a family photograph on his Instagram page.
His profile picture now just shows the former footballer with their two sons.
Louise's close friendship with fellow Strictly star Daisy Lowe was cited as an issue in the breakdown of the marriage as the pair's party antics are said to have put a strain on the pop star's relationship with Jamie.
Louise is now thought to be living 15 minutes away from the family home in Surrey and is currently in a three-month tour of the musical Cabaret.
But she put on a brave face to kick off the start of Cabaret’s nationwide tour and was praised for her “show-stopping” performance.
However after being placed as a runner up in the final, she revealed she finally felt as though she'd found her mojo and immediately knew she wanted to start performing again.
She said at the time: “Strictly has given me a new lease of life. I never went into it to get another job or to be more high-profile, I did it for me.
“You realise as the weeks go on that people are voting for you. They are invested in you. That has given me a huge confidence boost.
Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Clifton said Louise’s stint on the BBC show last year gave her a new-found confidence.
She said: “On the show Louise grew in confidence and you could see her wings expanding.
“It was great because she’s been a stay-at-home mum and sometimes you can forget about yourself.
“Now she’s giving herself a little bit more attention and she’s taking care of herself, which is lovely.
“She’s re-inventing herself. She’s a gorgeous woman and he’s a lovely man and I just feel really bad that they’ve separated.”
