Coronation Street spoilers: David Platt is spotted lurking outside a house in the dead of night as actor Jack P. Shepherd films a mysterious new storyline
Shady new snaps show David hanging about outside a property - with a beard and leather jacket on - suggesting he will be turning detective or called on to rescue someone in a new episode.
CORRIE'S David Platt is spotted hanging around outside a house in strange new snaps that hint at actor Jack P. Shephard's mysterious new storyline.
Sporting a thick beard and longer hair, Gail's son lurks in the rain looking serious - as he watches the property from his car, before going to the front door.
Wearing a leather jacket, David is then seen by the open door of the house - which is number ten.
Seeing as the number ten on Weatherfield's main street is The Kabin, this must be a different area of the fictional town.
And fans will no doubt be wondering why David looks as if he's disguised, or why is playing detective - but there may be some clues.
A Corrie trailer for their autumn episodes has shown that the drama with David's niece Bethany and her sex ring groomer Nathan is far from over.
It may be that David turns vigilante, as he's done before, in his quest to bring down the evil villain, who has been trying to stop Bethany testifying in court.
Viewers will also know from the trailer that the body of a teenage girl is going to be found in Weatherfield, and the police discover Bethany's necklace at the scene.

But also David recently - and controversially - became the boyfriend of Shona McGarty, the mother of the jailbird who stabbed his wife Kylie to death.
Shona has vowed to save her thousands of scratchcard winnings towards a trust for her son Clayton so he has money when he gets out of prison.
But since Clayton learned of this, some other less than pleasant characters have been trying to get the money off Shona.
The worst of these is Clayton's dad Dane who, when Shona refuses to hand over the cash, puts David's kids Max and Lily in danger.
If Shona is in trouble, there's no doubt smitten David will be ready to spring into action and help her - though the volatile cobbles resident may be at risk himself.
Fans of Corrie will still be reeling from the death of Vera Duckworth's alter-ego Liz Dawn this week after a battle with emphysema.
- Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights on ITV
