Katie Price texts Loose Women to ask Chris Hughes why he didn’t keep her ‘flirty messages’ private
KATIE Price may not have been on Loose Women today but that didn't stop her quizzing guest Chris Hughes about his decision to leak her "flirty" Whatsapp messages online.
The mother-of-five was left fuming earlier this week when the Love Island star shared screenshots of private messages she had sent him on Instagram and Whatsapp.
During Chris' appearance with best pal Kem Cetinay, Katie, 39, texted her co-workers with her questions.
Kaye Adams asked why he went public with the messages, adding: "I think she's a bit upset."
Chris, 24, replied: "When she said she hadn't sent them, that's basically accusing me of lying, and if someone accuses me of being a liar, I'll defend myself.
"Possibly in the heat of the moment it wasn't the right thing to do, but I don't regret it."
Chris made it clear he believed the messages had been flirty in nature and insisted he never responded to Katie's messages.
The Sun Online earlier revealed Chris had refused to appear on Loose Women today if Katie was on the panel.
The reality star told pals he checked that she would not be on the show before agreeing to appear alongside best mate Kem Cetinay to promote new programme Straight Outta Love Island, which follows the pair exploring the hip hop world.
A source told the Sun’s Bizarre column Chris told the show he did not want regular panellist Katie whilst he was on.

They said: "Chris outright refused to go on the show if Katie was there
“To him, it’s not hiding, it’s just avoiding unnecessary aggravation.
“He just wants to focus on promoting the new show with Kem.”
Chris, who has been going out with Olivia Attwood since meeting on the show, and married Katie have previously appeared on the show together and in August Chris had revealed she had been sending him flirty texts.
Earlier this week he finally released the initial Instagram message then WhatsApp messages.
A source added: “They got on well initially but now it’ll be too awkward.
“He knows it wouldn’t be great television so asked nicely if she could not be on.”
Katie’s initial message on Instagram was made days after he had exited the Love Island villa.
It read: “Hey, so good to meet you yesterday.
"Anyway [here is] my number and would love to go shooting. Obviously this stays private."
And a second messaged said: "I don't think [you're] getting my messages are you?
"I think they are getting deleted. I'm not here to cause trouble at all. Yes you know I like you! And here for advice too.
"You will just get people wanting money out of you so just try [to] be careful."
Chris blasted Katie, 39, after she insisted flirty messages were not sent as he released the screenshots.
He said: "Okay sweetheart. Being pied shouldn't make you bitter."
And recently Katie made a thinly veiled dig back at Chris at a live show.
She said: "Some celebrities should be careful with what they say and not out people.
"It will come back and bite them on the bum. Do you know what I mean?"
