Coronation Street star Jack P. Shepherd shows off a new look as he arrives at the set in his £50,000 Maserati

CORONATION Street's Jack P Shepherd was one gear up from Wetherfield life as he roared onto the cobbles in his swish Maserati.
The actor, 29, has forked out £50,000 for his sleek black Ghibli motor and couldn't be missed as he parked up at the ITV studios.
Jack, who plays troubled David Platt on the hit soap, flashed a beaming smile as he prepared to shoot scenes with co-star Nicola Rubenstein, who plays evil Pat Phelan's daughter, Nicola Thorp.
Their day in front of the camera saw them temporarily leave the programme's Manchester base, which gave dad Jack another chance to go for a spin.
His M-plate vehicle cut a sleek figure on the side of the road as he sidled into a space by a grassy kerb.
Meanwhile, his expensive set of wheels wasn't the only thing that grabbed attention.
The screen star also revealed the first look at his revamped barnet - which seemed to have extra blonde highlights and shaved sections at the sides.
Jack also sported some trendy stubble in the form of a rugged beard.
He looked well and truly chuffed as he strolled around in skinny black jeans, a leather jacket and green top.
Meanwhile his co-star Nicola dressed down in black leggings and an oversized shirt.
SOAP SPROGS These cute kids all grew up to be soap superstars - but can you tell which is which?
Dad-of-three Jack is known for being a joker on-set.
Yet today, the mood would have been a little more sombre following the tragic passing of Corrie stalwart Liz Dawn, who played Vera Duckworth, yesterday.
Manchester lad Jack recently left fans giggling as he shared text messages from his on-screen gran Audrey Roberts (played by Sue Nicholls) in which she clarified her character to him.
It read: "Just had a text from 'Me Gran' telling me
'Darling Give me a ring please. And I love you.
P.S it's Sue Nicholls, I play Audrey Roberts.'"
Meanwhile his character David is set for an action-packed few months after his on-screen niece, Bethany, was kidnapped.
She will now be forced to testify in court about her horrific ordeal.
