Geordie Shore in chaos as three of the cast fail to turn up for filming after big-money pay row
FILMING for the next series of Geordie Shore has been thrown into chaos as cast members refused to go into the house following a furious row over pay.
While loyal stars including Abbie Holborn and Chloe Ferry all arrived in Newcastle yesterday ready to go into the house, some of their co-stars weren’t so eager.
While Marnie Simpson, Sophie Kasaei and Nathan Henry are also signed up and ready to go, insiders tell The Sun Online other cast members were still wrangling over contracts just hours before they were supposed to start.
And there is still confusion over whether Aaron Chalmers or Marty McKenna will even be involved in filming.
A source said: “The cast were all supposed to go back into the house and into lockdown yesterday, but at the very last minute producers cancelled.
“Some of the cast were seething about it. They’re all busy people and have other contractual agreements so the show has to run to schedule for them.
“There are still a couple of people rowing about pay and refusing to budge until the contracts are agreed to their terms. It’s a nightmare.
“They have no idea when they’re going to be starting filming again but they’ve been promised it will be imminent.”
Insiders also revealed the cast were also confused about who would even been going into the house.
SHORE THING Who's in the Geordie Shore cast and when is season 15 on MTV?
He will return to the show to say goodbye but will not be filming for the whole duration of this series.
Meanwhile, Marty McKenna sensationally revealed he’d been sacked by MTV earlier this month – and sources tell us no one knows if he’s actually coming back or not.
The Sun Online contacted MTV who had no comment to make on why filming had been cancelled.
This isn’t the first hurdle that’s hit Geordie Shore bosses in recent weeks.
Just days ago The Sun Online the full extent of the on-going pay row, with filming having already pushed back for a whole week.
A source said: “Many of the shows biggest stars have issues with terms in their agreement with the programme makers which has taken up time.
“While everyone has now signed for the new series several of its key cast were refusing to agree terms.”
Let's hope MTV can give them what they want...else it could be curtains for Geordie Shore.
