Doctor Foster will MURDER her own son in dramatic series finale next week, fans claim

DOCTOR Foster fans could see the dramatic series end in a bloodbath - with the title character murdering her son in a shock twist.
Tuesday night's penultimate episode left viewers stunned by a cliffhanger in which Gemma Foster, played by Suranne Jones, seemed poised to run over her cheating ex Simon.
But now rumours are circulating that it is not just her ex-husband who looks set to meet a grisly end in next week's series finale, but also their teen son Tom.
Fans were quick to put forward the theory that Gemma will murder Tom after the BBC drama's creator Mike Bartlett revealed that the idea for the show stemmed from a 2,500-year-old Greek tragedy.
The award-winning playwright and screen writer citied the ancient tragedy of Medea, who killed her own children in act of revenge for her husband's betrayal, as the basis for the show's plot.
Speaking to the Radio Times, Mike said: "In the original pitch, I never actually said, ‘We’re going to do Medea at 9pm on BBC,’ because it probably wouldn’t have gone down very well. But that idea was always behind it."
Mike refused to reveal if the scorned doctor will kill her own son, but praised the young actor who plays him, Tom Taylor, who he predicted will "become a global star".
The latest episode left viewers on the edge of their seats as the final moments saw Gemma swerved her car towards ex-husband Simon as he marched down the road.
Long-time fans were delighted to see Simon get his comeuppance when Gemma told Kate they had slept together and that he had been lying to her for years.
Kate came to her senses about her husband as Gemma revealed their wedding song was her favourite and that he wore cuff links she had gifted him on their seventh anniversary.
She said coming back had been for her "benefit" and that he was still obsessed with her.
Gemma also finally revealed that the wedding speech Simon gave about her was what was in the box she handed to her in episode one.
Simon arrived home to find Kate had moved everything out of their impressive mansion and left him with nothing but a small bag of clothes.
Gemma arrived after Kate had left with their parents and daughter and Simon screamed at her through the car door that she had ruined his life.
However, as she drove away she felt guilty for leaving her ex with nothing as her son Tom asked if he was OK.
She offered to pay for two nights in a hotel but he refused and set off on foot to "get his son".
Simon’s parting words were: “The only way I’m leaving . . . is in a coffin.”
BEEB'S FINAL TWIST Next week's Doctor Foster series finale may be last episode EVER, hints writer
A determined looking Gemma then watched him walk down the road before she sped towards him.
The chilling ending comes after promotional shots for the X-rated BBC1 hit showed ex-Coronation Street star Suranne with a bloody wedding ring finger.
Some fans have speculated Gemma will kill Simon — played by Bertie Carvel, 40 — while others reckon she will regret her actions after knocking him over and use her medical expertise to save him.
One wrote: "Imagine it’s a twist...and she swerves crashes into a tree or something and dies?! Sh!ts about to get real. #DoctorFoster".
Another added: "That #DoctorFoster finale is going to be baaaaaaadass! Top TV! Too much talk of "leaving in a coffin" for it not to happen..."
The explosive scenes came after writer Mike Bartlett hinted that the series two finale could mean the end of the drama for good.
He teased: "Depending on what happens at the end of series two, a third might not be possible… That's all I can say really."
