DOCTOR Foster's Suranne Jones says she hopes the show will make people "think twice" about having affairs.
Suranne plays Gemma in the BBC drama about two warring exes which has had the nation talking thanks to this x-rated scene of the former couple having "hate sex" in the kitchen.
Speaking to the , Suranne said: "Hopefully it will make people think twice about divorce or having an affair in the first place.
“I certainly hope it makes people think about how they conduct themselves, if they do split with somebody.
“Ultimately, I just hope viewers enjoyed the ride of watching two people who really f***ing hate each other having to breathe the same air," she added.
Suranne also revealed the drama, which pulls in six million viewers, has a "solid ending".
The couple divorced in series one and he second series focuses on Simon’s return after two years away.
However, the former Coronation Street star says she'll return for a third instalment with the right storyline,
"If Mike comes up with another story then we’ll talk about it. But for now, like the first one, it’s got a really good, solid ending," she said.
The second last episode of this series will air on Tuesday at 9pm on BBC One.
