Sam Thompson hits back at claims he led Amelia Lily on as he reveals ‘we’re not boyfriend and girlfriend’
CELEBRITY Big Brother’s Sam Thompson has hit back at accusations he lead Amelia Lily on in the house.
The pair have been on three dates since finishing the Channel 5 reality show but have both played down their relationship.
He told the Sun’s Bizarre column everything he said in the house about her was true and denied he was “playing” her after viewers accused him of doing exactly that.
Speaking at Creator Awards last night at Battersea Evolution in London, Sam said: “What I said in the house is completely true - I wanted to take her for a date outside the house, outside the f***ed up environment.
“Some people didn't understand that. They thought I was leading her on.
“Everything has happened how I would hope it would happen. I take things very slowly in my actual life - I don't like fake stuff, I want it to be organic.”
Sam and his fellow Made In Chelsea star Tiffany Watson broke up after three years together during the latest series of the E4 series – aired after he exited the house.
And X Factor star Amelia ended things with Steve Rushton earlier this year after a four-year relationship.
Sam and Amelia were recently seen on a date to the theatre to watch a production of Aladdin – something Sam revealed he has “always wanted” to see.
She has previously played down their romance and Sam echoed her thoughts, saying “we’re definitely not boyfriend and girlfriend”.
He said: “We do keep in touch, we're both single but we're both fresh out of relationships.
“We've been on three dates so far. We're really busy, we're definitely not boyfriend and girlfriend but we're hanging out which is really fun.
“We went to Aladdin - she got me free tickets. I didn't just go on a date with her for the free tickets.
“But it's something I've always wanted to do and she's like that and she remembers things like that.
“It was a lovely, lovely evening.
“It's way too early to say [if there is a future].”
Amelia recently told Bizarre the pair are still rocked by their previous long-term relationships.
She said: “We’re just hanging out. We’re both very busy at the moment.
“We both came out of long term relationships so we’re friends and hanging out and seeing where it goes. Who knows what the future holds.”
