What is The Pact and where can I watch it?

This hilarious new BBC Two series puts the spotlight on just what might happen if two single best mates were to marry.

Andy (Brett Goldstein) has harboured a lust for Amy (Sarah Solemani) since his schooldays yet the pair grew apart in their twenties.

Yet two decades after the schoolboy crush they are reunited - and he's desperate to make things work after they made a teenage pact to marry - if they were unattached aged 35.

There's a sticking point, though, as Andy is now a divorced dad already in a relationship with a lady called Kelly yet on the other hand, party girl Amy is single and ready to mingle.

What have Sarah Solemani and Brett Goldstein starred in before?

Brunette actress Sarah is best known on TV for her role in Him & Her with Russell Tovey - so no stranger to coupled up storylines.

The Londoner has dyed her hair blonde for her new acting gig, which follows her film stint in Bridget Jones' Baby.

Sarah, 35, delighted Hollywood fans as potty-mouthed Miranda as she starred alongside Renee Zellweger.

Meanwhile actor and comedian Brett, 37, has starred in Channel 4 drama Derek as well as the SuperBob movie.

What have The Pact's producers revealed about the series?

Producers have teased Amy and Andy's meet-up will be "life-changing" yet revealed little else about the quirky love story.

They said: "Face to face with their pasts, they're forced to reconsider their futures. Is it time for Amy to take responsibility for her life? Should Andy throw caution to the wind and pursue his childhood crush?

"Whatever happens, they're going to end up together, right? Needless to say, it's a bit more complicated than that."

Did Gemma Collins make a similar pact on Towie?

The bubbly Towie star made her very own pact with none other than hunky James Lock last year.

We reported how the pair snuggled on the sofa in co-star Chloe Sims' Essex salon during a live broadcast on Good Morning Britain.

After confessing they wanted to find romance in their Christmas stocking, Gemma admitted there could be "a bit of a sizzle" between the pair as the hunk sat with his arm around her shoulders.

Lockie then pledged: "In five years if we are both still single we will get it together."
