Joy as mum George Michael secretly gave £9,000 to for IVF treatment finally gives birth
George Michael's songs were playing at Lynette's first scan and while she was in labour
THIS is the baby George Michael helped bring into the world.
Two-week-old Seth Hart even has George as his middle name in tribute.
The superstar singer contacted TV chiefs after mum Lynette Gillard went on Deal or No Deal to get money to continue IVF treatment following a 13-year battle to conceive.
He donated £9,000 on condition he remained anonymous.
Lynette, 38, learned the cash came from the Careless Whisper legend after his tragic death in December, aged 53.
She told The Sun on Sunday: “I found out I was pregnant on the day he died.
“The first time I held my little boy I said thank you to George. His hit Jesus to a Child was playing and it felt surreal.
"I hope he’s looking down smiling, knowing I have what I’ve always longed for."
“He believed in me and gave me hope to keep trying even when I felt it was useless.
“His songs were playing on the radio when we went for our first scan and when I was in labour.
"I feel that George has been with me every step of the way.”
George’s gift in 2008 let Lynette have tests which found she had cells that kill off embryos, and the condition was treated.
Lynette, of Westhoughton, Gtr Manchester, and her partner split in 2013 but she then fell for Nathan Hart, 39, and they turned to IVF.
Her ninth round of treatment failed too, but Lynette decided on one last go.
Before she could, she got pregnant naturally. Lynette said: “I’m sure when he grows up Seth will look up to George as an inspiration.”
