Rihanna praises ‘queen’ Beyonce on Instagram as fans beg for the singers to collaborate
Fans previously believed the superstars had been feuding following persistent rumours Rihanna had an affair with Jay Z
FANS have been sent into a frenzy after Rihanna "crowned" singer Beyonce in a new Instagram post.
While fans of the pair had believed the superstar singers had a long-running feud, the pair squashed the rumours by posing together for a picture at Rihanna's Diamond charity ball on Thursday night.
And Rihanna made it clear that the pair were on good terms as she reposted the image to her Instagram Stories.
The singer appeared to show she agreed with the "Queen Bey" nickname fans have given Beyonce during her career as she placed a crown emoji on the singer's head.
Meanwhile Beyonce also shared the picture of the pair together on her Instagram page, as well as a picture of Rihanna posing with Beyonce's husband Jay Z.
The trio are rarely seen together at events even though Rihanna was discovered by Jay Z and is signed to the rapper's label, Roc Nation.
Fans believed the lack of public socialising by Rihanna and Beyonce could have been down to rumours Rihanna had an affair with Jay Z at some point during his relationship with Beyonce.
However, in October 2015, Rihanna's former publicist publicly apologised for spreading the rumour in 2005 in a bid to boost then 17-year-old Rihanna's profile.
Immediately after the picture of Rihanna and Beyonce at the Diamond ball was revealed, fans instantly began to plead for the pair to work on music together.
One fan wrote: "Can we get a Beyoncé Rihanna colab asap."

One fan wrote: "Beyoncé and Rihanna need to collab it's been too f***ing long that I've been robbed of this collaboration ."
While another added: "So... how about that Rihanna & Beyonce duet?"
And it appears Beyonce could be working on new music following the birth of her twins Rumi and Sir Carter earlier this year.
Acclaimed film director Michel Gondry revealed he had worked with the star.
This has sent the rumour mill into overdrive that a new album is about to drop at any moment.
At the time, Michel told InStyle that it was a "clip" for the star, and added: "Unfortunately, it's not out yet because she had her twins."
Her last full release, Lemonade, was released in 2015 and was a full concept album complete with a feature-length film to go alongside it.
Lemonade, which has been praised as the star's masterpiece, was dropped without warning to the general public.
Over the past few weeks, after shunning the limelight during her pregnancy, Beyonce has started attending more formal events as well as contributing to the relief efforts of Hurricane Harvey.
