AARON Carter has expressed his relief after he found out he doesn't have HIV live on TV.
The former child star, 29, anxiously received his test results today on American show The Doctors - calling the build up to the moment terrifying.
He explained: "That was the scariest thing I have ever done in my life.
"After not getting annual checkups and testing and being safe, actually, being safe so I could be safe for others, more importantly. That's what scared me. I felt like I was putting people at risk with my body… I didn't have the courage to go face the music."
The star was also received negative results for STIs chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis.
While Aaron was all smiles following the result reveal, doctors Travis Stork and Jorge Rodriguez insisted something needed to be done to increase Aaron's weight after it had fallen to just over eight stone.
Dr Stork told him: "You are malnourished, and your body mass index at 17 is in a scary range.
"We can't just sit here and blame it on a hiatal hernia. We have got to work on this."
Dr Rodriguez added: "In my opinion, you’re not healthy... physically right now, I think your body is hanging on by a thread, seriously. [Your mind] has to calm down… you are going a million miles a minute… until there is peace in your mind, the rest is not going to follow."
The singer previously broke down on the show as he spoke for the first time over his fears that he may have the virus, saying: "I need help, I'm scared."
In a hard-hitting interview Aaron said that his tumbling weight is one reason why he believed he might be HIV-positive, telling the host: "Because I'm so skinny, I'm still so skinny. And that was the biggest one for me."
The singer, who is 6ft tall, weighs just over eight stone (115lbs).
The former child star also opened about his devastating drug problems, but denied claims he was taking crack and meth.
The pop singer, who is the younger brother of Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter , has spent years battling an addiction to painkillers.
He gave a candid interview explaining that he got hooked on pills as he underwent more and more cosmetic surgery to enhance his looks.
He even showed off his perfect smile as proof he hasn't dabbled in any hard drugs that would rot his teeth.
Aaron cried as he admitted he regularly pumps his face full of fillers in a bid to hang on to his youthful looks and became addicted to drugs including Xanax and Oxycodone, which are used to treat anxiety and pain.
He went to extreme measures to get his hands on the medicines, and would even buy them illegally off the street.
During the show, he said: "I get fillers. Restylane, Voluma, Rejuviderm. I get all three, and I'm going to continue doing it. It makes me smile in the mirror.
"I see a pretty good looking guy, I'm just skinny... And I just want to get better."

In another scene, Aaron added: "I don't mix medications, I do it to release stress of pain or angst.
"I have no problem telling exactly what it is.
"The truth shall set your free and my father always said that...
"My family knows... that I was going to psychiatrists to do that. I know that there is no happy ending to any of those medications... It's a fact.
"My greatest fear... [is] not being able to live as long as I can."
He also opened up about the family issues that contributed to his problems, including his parents' divorce, the death of his father and sister, and a feud with pop star brother Nick.
Aaron sobbed as he talked about losing his family and his music career.
He said: "My heart hurts, my body hurts...
"It's always been my duty to make everyone happy to please every one, one stage and off stage...
"I lost my career, I lost my parents [in the divorce], I lost my dad, I lost my sister, I lost my brother, Nick... how do I keep going."
The TV interview came after a turbulent few months for the singer.
The former teen star was recently arrested on a DUI charge along with marijuana possession of less than one ounce in Georgia.
Aaron also recently revealed he had an eating disorder and came out as bisexual in an emotional social media post.
The singer revealed he is attracted to both men and women on his Twitter account in which he said he wanted the "weight and burden" of hiding his sexuality to be lifted off of him.
He wrote: "To start off, I would like to say that I love each and every one of my fans.
"There's something I'd like to say that I feel is important for myself and my identity that has been weighing on my chest for nearly half of my life.
"This doesn't bring me shame, just a weight and burden I have held onto for a long time that I would like lifted off of me.
"I grew up in this entertainment industry at a very young age and when I was around 13-years-old I started to find boys and girls attractive.
"There were years that went by that I thought about it, but it wasn't until I was 17-years-old, after a few relationships with girls, I had an experience with a male that I had an attraction to who I also worked with and grew up with.
"To me music has always been my temple. Music will always be what transcends all of us and myself."
