Celebs Go Dating’s Charlotte Dawson admits she gets drunk on every date because she’s still not over her ex
CHARLOTTE Dawson has revealed she gets drunk on every date because she’s still in love with her ex-boyfriend.
The reality star broke down in tears after she was confronted about her wild behaviour on Celebs Go Dating by matchmakers Nadia Essex and Eden Blackman.
Not holding back, Nadia and Eden gave her some home truths about her antics on the show so far which has seen her downing prosecco before a date, doing shots and snogging the face off every man she has been out with.
But Charlotte has said her in your face attitude with men is because she just "wants to be loved" after having her heart broken by ex Matt Sarsfield.
Struggling to hold back the tears, she said during her meeting with Nadia and Eden: "I feel like there's this crazy and wild Charlotte that gets drunk all the time.
"I play on it more than I should.
"There's a funny Charlotte and a sweet one."
Blaming her ex, she continued: "I was so in love with him, I gave my heart and my soul but it just wasn't enough, it still didn't work.
"That's why I overdo things, because I just want to be loved."
Charlotte, who is the daughter of late comedian Les Dawson, split from rugby player Matt just before Valentine’s Day this year.
Despite appearing inseparable on social media, Matt struggled to cope with Charlotte's love of partying, and it eventually proved too much for their relationship.
A source exclusively told The Sun Online at the time: "Charlotte is convinced Matt is the one for her, she's been planning years ahead and it all seemed like Matt was of the same mind, but things have become difficult.
"Charlotte loves to party and so does Matt, but he's a professional athlete and sometimes that makes things difficult."
The source added: "Charlotte really is doing everything she can to get things back on track, and it couldn't have happened at a worse time, right on top of Valentine's Day and her father Les' birthday.
"She's got great friends and family around her, and she's trying to concentrate on work to keep her busy but she's an emotional girl and finding it difficult."
She even declared that she wanted to marry him… and a cardboard cut-out of her tragic dad would be waiting for her at the altar.
