Towie’s Chloe Sims and Pete Wicks have blazing row in Marbella after she branded his relationship with Megan McKenna ‘a joke’
First episode of series 21 showed the former friends coming to blows over things Chloe said about Pete getting back with Megan in 'toxic' relationship.
Earlier in the episode Chloe had also told the sad story of Pete totally cutting her off and not responding to her texts, so she wanted answers.
And Pete, the tattooed Essex "pirate", responded: "I'm still trying to work out what happened at the time....
"I think [it] was such a negative time. I'm still confused about it all, it was such a f***ing mess. I don't want to bring myself or anyone down... Maybe it is selfish."
Pete then accused Chloe of betraying his trust and stirring drama up with Megan.
Chloe hit back: "I spent time out of my life caring for you... Why would I use anything against you?
"Did I, or did I not, tell you: 'I hope you get back with Megan but I won't ever be friends with her'?"
Before storming off, she added: "I spent hours on the phone to you, helping you. And this is what I f***ing get!"
Meanwhile, asked by mates if she wanted to speak to Megan, Chloe said: "I'm absolutely fine...I haven't spoken to her for three months so if we come face to face it could be awkward."
She then revealed that she'd texted former pal Pete and he "never responded" - while Mario Falcone suggested he wouldn't because he's "under the thumb".
Asked by his male pals whether he'd patch things up with Chloe, Pete also said: "I'm back with Megs, I'm concentrating on that. I don't wanna focus on that. It was all a bit of a mess and I don't have clarity on it all."
And in the club, Gemma Collins asked Megan to give her honest explanation as to why she's feuding with Chloe.
Megan replied: "Chloe's dragged it on. People shouldn't get involved in people's relationships, 'cause look what happened. We're back together now."
Asked why they couldn't pretend to be civil with Chloe, Pete added: "I'd rather be awkward than fake."
Viewers on Twitter were divided over who to support in the ongoing row, which has simmered for four months.
And talking to OK!, the couple also responded to Chloe's comments about their "showmance", with Meg saying: "She doesn’t know us.
"If people are your true friends on the show or not, they will never say nasty things like that."
Agreeing, Pete commented: "I didn’t realise [Chloe had] said that. That’s a bit of a nasty thing to say because she knows how hurt I was and how bad I felt at the time."
Towie continues with another Marbella special on Wednesday at 10pm on ITVBe.
