Beloved performer Paul was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February 2016 and died just under five weeks later on March 17, aged 77.
Debbie said: "From diagnosis, he died four weeks and five days later, so there wasn't time to think about what was happening.
"We just had to get on with the situation and look after him. It wasn't until after he died, that the huge realisation kind of washed over me. I am out here, on this earth, on my own."

Speaking at the time of his death, The Magic Circle said Daniels had "been an inspiration to many magicians" and is of "legendary status" in the world of magic.
In a statement, it said: "At the height of his career The Paul Daniels Magic Show on BBC1 pulled more than 20 million viewers - that was more than one third of the British population regularly tuning in on a Saturday night to watch a magician make them laugh and witness feats of wonder such as his famous Chop Cup routine.
"In this day and age of fragmented media platforms, no other magician is likely to be able to achieve such a TV ratings record."
It concluded by adding that "the magic world owes Paul a huge debt".
