Towie stars Jamie Reed and Jade Lewis are ‘on the rocks’ – but are desperate to keep love alive for the show
TOWIE stars Jamie Reed and Jade Lewis are on the verge of a split - but they are desperately trying to keep their relationship alive to maintain their profile on the show.
Jamie, 34, and Jade,23, began dating earlier this year after his split from longtime girlfriend Amber Turner.
They had been inseparable since they got together in the spring, but The Sun Online can exclusively reveal romance between the supporting cast members turned sour during a break from filming over the summer.
A number of rows have threatened to tear the couple apart, and their Towie co-stars are convinced it's over.
But Jamie and Jade are determined to do everything they can to work through their problems and stay together.
A source told us: "They've not split yet, but it's really rocky.
"The rest of the Towie cast are all convinced it's over, but Jamie and Jade are desperately trying to work through it and stick together.
"They know they'll get more air time as a couple so it's not great timing for a split."
They may be trying their best to stay together, but the insider revealed there's a good chance there will be an explosive split after Towie returns to TV next week.
The source added: "Their lives have to be shown on Towie so it wouldn't be a surprise if they end up breaking up on camera."

They have been putting on a united front on social media despite the problems at home.
Jamie and Amber were out in London this week and they even shared loved-up selfies from the Radio Rooftop Bar.
Jamie previously credited Jade with helping him through his heart-breaking split from Amber after she cheated on him with Dan Edgar.
In an interview with The Sun, he compared her to US model Kendall Jenner and thanked her for healing his heart.
He said: "She’s a very good looking girl.
"I’ve been calling her 'my Kendall Jenner'... It feels good to be around someone like her after all the stress from my break up.
"She’s definitely helping me through the healing process.
“I’ve known Jade for a few years and we’ve just started talking properly now.
"We have always got on well, she’s carefree and fun.
“She was in a six-year relationship up until January and obviously I have just split with Amber too.”
Jamie was with Amber for four and a half years before they parted ways, and she went on to strike up a romance with Dan.
Amber later claimed her romance with Jamie was “controlling” and “sexless” but she was “too embarrassed” to tell her friends and family about their problems.
But Jamie hit back at her claims, insisting he was left in “shock” after suddenly being dumped.
He said: ";The whole thing is embarrassing to be honest with you...
"I do feel like she brought me on the show to be dumped, it’s playing out this way."
