And The Sun Online can reveal it's not been easy going for the couple lately, after they rowed about which club the Arsenal striker should go to.

A source told The Sun Online: “Perrie and Alex disagreed about which club he should move too.

“Perrie really wanted him to choose Chelsea as it’s closer to her home and his.

“Plus when she’s travelling with Little Mix, they often fly into and from London which means she would be able to spend time with him, even if not for long.

“Alex had his heart set on Liverpool though. Of course she supports his decision but it’s not been easy.”

Since the news broke, fans noted how Perrie – who’s been dating the striker since November 2016 – didn't congratulate him publicly and instead chose to simply “like” the pictures he posted about his transfer.

Earlier today, Alex was spotted wandering around the city alone as he gets to know his new home.

Over the summer, Perrie posted sweet pictures of her and Alex on Instagram.

But now it’s now been three weeks since she put a snap of the two of them online.

In one of her last posts, she told her followers how she wanted to wake up next to Alex for the rest of her life, which now seems more unlikely given his move up North and away from their base down in the capital.

But while Alex’s move has put a strain on their relationship but friends assure they will try and make it work.

An insider explained: “Little Mix’s next tour is in the UK and although Perrie will be on the road from October, she’s going to do her best to see Alex when she can.”

Today it was rumoured Perrie had been spotted in Liverpool, where Alex started training with his new team at the start of the week.

However she was not seen with him when Alex was pictured walking around earlier today.

In a statement after he announced he was moving clubs, Alex said: “I know my choice might come as a surprise to many, and the decision to leave was tough after being a part of the club for so many years, but I feel that this move is right for the next stage in my ongoing development.

“The club, and my time here, will always mean a massive amount to me.”
