GORDON Buchanan is a Scottish wildlife filmmaker noted for his popular shows including Big Cat Diary, Springwatch, and Natural World.
Now that his latest show Grizzly Bear Cubs and Me is on our screens, we have the lowdown on the adventurous explorer.
Who is Gordon Buchanan?
Gordon was born in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland on April 10, 1972.
He was brought up on the Isle of Mull and was a huge fan of David Attenborough's television programmes and Survival, a nature programme.
His career began when Nick Gordon, whose wife owned the restaurant he was working in, invited Buchanan to become Gordon's camera assistant for a project he was completing in Sierra Leone.
He continued working with Nick in Venezuela and Brazil before starting to work independently 1995.

Gordon has worked as a cinematographer in countless fan-favourite programmes likeBig Cat Diary, Natural World and Planet Earth II.
He's also been in front of the camera to present nature shows.

Now, his latest show with the cutest animals, Grizzly Bear Cubs and Me is set to take off.

What is Grizzly Bear Cubs and Me about and when is it on?
The two-parter kicked off on BBC Two on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 9 pm and continues tonight (Wednesday, December 19) at the same time.
The show sees the wildlife cameraman help rehabilitate six orphaned bear cubs into the Russian wilderness.
The adorable baby grizzly bears will need to be trained in order to cope with their new lives.
The episodes will be made available on BBC iPlayer shortly after its broadcast for those that miss it.
