Towie’s Diags reveals he’s lost over a stone after split from long-term girlfriend Francesca Parman as he arrives to TV Choice Awards with Chloe Sims

TOWIE star James 'Diags' Bennewith has lost over a stone and a half since splitting from girlfriend of three years, Francesca Parman.

The reality star headed back onto the singles market over the summer after the couple called time on their romance, and now Diags has used his free time to get in shape.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online at last night's TV Choice Awards, Diags said: "I'm losing weight, I'm single now, three and a half year relationship is done.

"I've lost a stone and a half so far but I've still got a personal trainer so I'm coming down, he's sorting me out."

While Diags, 26, looked dapper in a pale blue three-piece suit at the bash, which he attended with co-star Chloe Sims, he admitted he had further to go on his weight loss journey.

He said: "I want to be under 13 stone, and I was 15 and a half at the start."

However Chloe, 34, warned her friend not to go too far.

She said: "Diags has got a really good bum, so if he loses that I might not fancy him any more."

Asked if his split from Francesca was what triggered off his decision to lose weight, Diags said: "It was a sort of time to refresh life, it's time to go again."

Joking he was doing a Khloe Kardashian revenge body-style makeover, he added: "Have you seen this? What you could have had?

"Nah, I'm just feeling better about myself, it's nice, you just get in that groove whereas before I just got stuck in a bit of a rut."

Diags isn't the only male member of Towie to undergo a body transformation, after James 'Arg' Argent showed off the result of his own four stone weight loss earlier this summer.

Asked if he had taken any tips from the 29-year-old, Diags joked: "Arg had an easier start, he was coming down from ridiculous numbers."

But banter aside, Chloe added: "We saw Arg, and we've seen his weight loss and he does look very good."
