Sarah Harding denies drink problem on Loose Women and reveals she’s trying to find work in the US to be with boyfriend Chad Johnson
SARAH Harding has denied she has a drinking problem today on Loose Women.
Her antics during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother caused some housemates to think she had an issue with alcohol, something the pretty blonde says simply “isn’t true”.
The former Girls Aloud babe has previously been admitted to rehab for depression and alcohol addiction following her 2011 split with her fiancee Tom Crane.
But when asked by Linda Robson about her boozing on CBB Sarah said: “They made it out to be a lot worse than it was.
“You aren’t allowed to drink that much in the evening. They made out I was stealing.”
Referring to her boozy nickname in the house, she said: “Cider Sarah was meant as a joke, we were on rations that week and we were living on lentils.
“I probably only had a can and a half of cider and I got the giggles.
“But I can be like that without a drink.”
She went on: “I come alive more at night, I’m quiet and anxious in the day but I’m a night owl.
“Yes I had highs and lows but you go through a whole spectrum of emotions.”
The CBB winner then talked about whether her romance with Chad Johnson was still going strong.
The couple made headlines with their raunchy antics in the house.
When asked if they were still together, Sarah said: “It’s ok, he’s gone back to LA now.
“I’ve got some work lined up in LA so I’m hoping to go out there in the next few weeks.”

She added: “I might be back over in a couple of weeks.
“We spent a week together outside of the house, I’m still acclimatising, we’re taking it one bit at a time.
“We’re being sensible. With me and chad, we only had each other to lean on. It grew into feelings.”
Meanwhile, Sarah’s comments were a far cry from what her housemate Paul Danan said about her drinking when he appeared on Loose Women last month.
The former Hollyoaks star, who doesn’t drink after years of battling addiction says Sarah “changed” when she’s had a drink.
He explained: “With Sarah I felt I could see a lot of her in me or me in her, and her in the situation I was in.
“She’s a gorgeous person but she changes when she has a drink and that’s sad.”
He went on to claim that he dedicated a lot of time to trying to help her but to no avail.
Paul continued: “And I gave her so much advice and help and so did Derek and people like that.
“And then they take it on board for a second and then they want a hug and they’re crying, and you’re like, ‘Come on, you can be the Sarah Harding you know you can be.’
“Then the next minute, as soon as it comes out they run to that store room and the conversation, the hours of talks are done.”
Paul said he coped with the fact there was so much alcohol in the house by talking to Big Brother and drinking Ribena.
