Celebs Go Dating’s Calum Best says ‘having sex on Love Island would have ruined’ his career
CELEBS Go Dating’s Calum Best says having sex on Love Island would have ruined his career.
The son of iconic footballer George Best says he would never "do the deed" on TV – despite starring on numerous dating shows.
He told the Sun’s Bizarre column not having sex on national television is the reason he is still on our sets.
Calum, 36, said: “No matter how many dating shows I'm never ready to do the deed on national television.
“I've done the Love Island years ago, I've done the Big Brother and that's not really my style - whatever my reputation.
“I've been in television for a long time because I haven't been down that route.
“It's crazy how times have changed. Back when I did Love Island the naughtiest thing you could do on television is have a massage.
“When now people are s******g and going on to have careers - it's totally normal."
The former Celebrity Big Brother star was the first to get a date on the new series of Celebs Go Dating -which began last night.
Dating expert Nadia Essex says of all the stars on the new show, Calum was the only one who could flirt.
Fans of the show saw women “flocking” to him during last night’s mixer.
But despite all the attention, Calum has previously insisted he is ready to find “The One” and settle down.
He said: “You can sus out the b******t.
“You're conscious of those things – the time wasters who want their five minutes of fame. You can see who's in it for the wrong reasons.”
Calum has recently told Bizarre he wants kids and would like to marry soon.
He added: “I’ve got to keep this legacy going.
“I want to find someone special and definitely create a family - it just depends when, who and how.”
