MAX Branning's revenge scheme has finally been exposed in EastEnders as an explosion ripped through Albert Square.
The businessman - who is played by actor Jake Wood in the BBC soap - has been plotting the downfall for Walford for months and finally he went too far and Jane Beale worked out what he was doing.
Calling him to her restaurant, she sat Max down and made it clear that she was onto him and demanded he explain himself.
"I've just seen Steven, actually me and him have an interesting little chat," she said sitting Max down.
"Maybe, just maybe he has an excuse for the stupid things he did. He's weak, he's terrified of losing Lauren.
"What I don't understand is you. A father is meant to look out for his daughter, isn't he? Love her, protect her but you would have known her marriage was a lie from the start.
"And what was all that about with Fi on the Square just now? You hate this place and everyone who lives here?
"I was going to ask you what the hell you were up to but I don't need to, do I?
"All this is revenge on anyone who has done you wrong. Us, Jack, your own daughter."
Unfortunately before he could answer, a riot broke out outside and a gas explosion tore through the Square leaving Phil Mitchell fighting for his life.
