HOLLY Willoughby was completely smitten after meeting This Morning's adorable new puppy today.
The TV presenter was a bundle of nerves as she waited for the dog to be unveiled on the show and she was delighted when she eventually got a cuddle.
Her co-star Phillip Schofield walked onto the set with the show's new mascot, a 12-week-old Labrador-Golden Retriever cross known as a "goldador ".
Holly immediately squealed and ran towards him, and she couldn't stop smiling as she stroked the pooch, who is the show's first male dog mascot.
Phil said: "He's bigger than I thought he was going to be.”
The presenters revealed the cute little pup is currently unnamed and they asked viewers to choose what it is eventually called.
They called for suggestions beginning with 'D' and they later revealed the top picks were "Dylan, Digby and Dougie".
Holly admitted Digby was her favourite and urged viewers to vote for it, and she later revealed the name had officially been picked.
Phil explained the puppy will eventually be trained as an assistance dog.
He said: "He's a 12-week-old Labrador-Retriever cross. He's going to have a very important job when he grows up. His mum is a Golden Retriever and his dad is a Labrador.
"He's from the charity Goods For Good - they've trained dogs to assist people in need, such as disabled people and autistic children.
"He could also work in a hospital to help people with their recovery.
"He's the first male puppy with a purpose we've had on This Morning."
It comes just weeks after Holly and Phil were left heartbroken when they were forced to bid farewell to their resident guide dog Luna so she could continue her training as an assistant for the disabled.
Digby is the third resident dog on the show following on from last year's hypoallergenic Labradoodle Luna and her predecessor Clover.
He also has his own Instagram page which was updated during today's show.
Today's show marked Holly and Phil's returned after their summer break.
The TV beauty started the show by opening up about her romantic second honeymoon with husband Dan Baldwin.
The couple jetted off to the South of France to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, and it was their first proper holiday without the kids since they got married.
Holly returned to This Morning today after taking the summer off to spend time with Dan and their three children.
She gave her co-star Phillip Schofield a hug as they were reunited after the break, and she told viewers all about her romantic holiday with Dan.
At the start of the show, Holly revealed the couple recently celebrated 10 years of marriage - and they treated themselves to a "couples holiday" without the children.
