Catherine Zeta-Jones, 47, looks dramatically different as she posts a make-up-free selfie from bed

Welsh actress leaves fans gob-smacked as she dares to go bare - and pose nude in her bed - for new selfie as she's praised for showing off 'purity' and 'natural beauty'.

CATHERINE Zeta-Jones has stunned fans with a make-up free selfie taken in her bed, showing off a very different look – and earning major respect for doing so.

The 47-year-old actress gazes at the camera as she lies under the covers at “chez Zeta-Jones” with damp hair in the pic, which she captioned: “Sleeping in!”

The Welsh actress decided to share the unedited pic for #SelfieSaturday and was immediately praised by followers for posting it.

One fan commented: “So refreshing, an actor that is happy to show herself in her true purity.”

Another agreed, writing “beautiful one woman of the world who doesnt need make up” while a third wrote “Naturally beautiful 👏👏👏.”

Like Liz Hurley, mum-of-two Catherine, who has been married to Michael Douglas since 1999, regularly poses for Instagram selfies – sometimes in the nude.

The Chicago star has now followed the trend of sharing “natural” beauty shots, as Victoria Beckham did on Instagram last week.

Recently, social media-savvy Catherine celebrated her son Dylan’s 17th birthday with an Instagram video tracking his childhood.

She and Michael, 72, also have a daughter called Carys, who’s now 14.

Catherine and Michael seem to have put their marriage troubles aside for good after briefly separating in 2013 following his struggle with tongue cancer.

Catherine recently portrayed Olivia De Havilland on the US drama Feud about Hollywood legends Joan Crawford and Bette Davis.

The real De Havilland, who is now 101 years old, is suing the channel FX over her portrayal in the drama, saying the show damaged her “professional reputation for integrity, honesty, generosity, self-sacrifice and dignity.”

Let’s hope Catherine is still sharing selfies when she’s 101.
