WRITERS won’t need to use the force to send a letters to a postcode far, far away.
A set of out-of-this-world stamps are being launched to celebrate the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
They feature pictures of droids and aliens from the movie franchise - and have hidden details that are only visible under ultraviolet light.
Characters include Han Solo’s faithful co-pilot Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker’s loyal companion R2-D2 and nervous droid C-3PO.
One stamp will include a new alien called a Porg – a small flightless bird which lives on the remote planet Ahch-To where Luke Skywalker is living in exile.
Released in December, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the hugely anticipated next chapter in the Skywalker saga.
Its creators have fought to keep major details about the movie strictly under wraps.
But the story is expected to pick-up from the end of the last film, The Force Awakens, where Luke Skywalker and prodigy Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, meet for the first time.
The stamps – which are set to become major collectors’ items – have been illustrated by British artist Malcolm Tween.
He also designed a set in 2015 for the launch of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The Royal Mail say the stamps celebrate the major contribution British film-makers and actors have had to the movie franchise.
They will be on sale from October and can be ordered online or at the Post Office.
