Marnie Simpson’s turbulent love life – from her on/off beau Aaron Chalmers to her budding romance with Casey Johnson
The Geordie Shore star has been endlessly searching for Mr Right, and found some fellow reality stars in the process
MARNIE Simpson’s relationship history has not been an easy one – with every error and fight playing out in front of the world thanks to Geordie Shore.
But never willing to give up the fight in her quest for romance, here is brief history of the star’s budding relationships in the spotlight…
Ricky Rayment
Ricky and Marnie fell for each other hard and fast in 2015, and after just five months together, the Towie star popped the question to the Geordie lass.
Getting down on one knee during a trip to Greece together, Marnie has since said it went "downhill" from there.
The star temporarily left the Geordie Shore house after getting engaged to Ricky, but returned by the end of the year after the relationship broke down.
Ricky later said he broke up with her after growing tired of her drinking habits and party lifestyle.
He explained: "I know a lot of people always go 'I don't regret it- it put me on the path I'm on now' and all that that cliché b*****ks. But I think I could have done without all the aggro. And she would probably agree. I don't miss her at all!"
She later said that their romance was "the biggest mistake of her life" - so, no chance of these two getting back together.
Aaron Chalmers
As his fellow co-star on Geordie Shore, Aaron has been involved in a long-running on/off relationship with Marnie for three years.
In scenes for their Party Tour season in the Summer of 2016, Aaron confessed that he was in love with the bubbly star – and the pair promptly reunited.
However, it appeared to end for good in early 2017 when Marnie appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and started a relationship with her fellow contestant, Lewis Bloor.
But when they were seen shooting the latest series of Geordie Shore two days later, they were seen snogging in the back of a car as they headed home from a night out.
In 2017, after Aaron's first official MMA fight, Marnie ran into the ring to give Aaron a hug following his win - but the pair never officially got back together.
Lewis Bloor
Marnie and Lewis definitely left an impression during their time in the CBB house in August 2016 - splitting audiences with their wild antics and frank discussions on sex.
She has since admitted to also having "secret sex" with Lewis in the house "in the bedroom and shower".
When quizzed by MTV about her Big Brother sex antics, Marnie confessed: “I think they didn’t want to put it out there. We were so sneaky.”
However, just a few months later it was revealed that while Marnie was away filming the new series of Geordie Shore on Valentine's Day, Lewis cheated on her with a woman he met outside of a Drake concert.
After discovering his betrayal, the heartbroken star labelled him a "f***ing scumbag" in a rant on Snapchat.
It was later revealed that while on a romantic getaway to Barcelona shortly after leaving the CBB house, Lewis had cheated on her again, causing him to post a grovelling letter of apology, and later revealed that he was going into therapy to tackle his jealousy and insecurity issues.
In an attempt to salvage their friendship Marnie and Lewis took a trip to Dubai, but relations between them hit a low point when Marnie threw a glass of red wine in Lewis's face and accused him of stealing her credit card.
Since then Marnie has admitted to jumping out of a moving car during a row with Lewis, and accused him of wanting to "kick her head round like a football".
When Lewis and Marnie broke up, Aaron jumped to the defence of his ex, and laid into Lewis - accusing him of spending thousands of pounds of her money during their six month romance.
This led to Lewis requesting a fight with Aaron in a boxing match, which Aaron never took up.
Casey Johnson
Casey and Marnie first got together after meeting during filming for MTV social media dating show, Single AF.
Tasked with finding romance with fans, Marnie and Casey were eventually flown to different COUNTRIES as they struggled to stay away from each other.
However, in July the pair appeared to have hit the skids, and Marnie told her followers: “Obviously I’ve blocked Casey.
“It’s kind of just because I feel like, when I’m with him he’s lovely, but when I’m away from he’s not, and he turns into… just like the rest of them.”
But after having a series of heart to hearts, the pair confirmed their romance in August 2017, and were later seen snogging in front of the Eiffel Tower on a loved-up trip to Paris.
