Bad Girls stars Claire King and Debra Stephenson reunite on Loose Women and hint the show could return
The stars of the hit show both said they would be up for starring in it again if it returned to TV
BAD Girls actresses Claire King and Debra Stephenson have both said they would return to the show if it was brought back.
The stars reunited on Loose Women, 11 years after the hit prison show ended and revealed they would love to see the programme return to TV.
Loose Women panellist Claire, who played prison guard Karen Betts, said: “I probably would. It was such good fun.
“You would think it would be a nightmare with women trapped in an area for eight months but we made it work.”
While Deborah, who played prisoner Shell Dockley, agreed saying: “I would do it.”
However the actress, who is also known for being an impressionist, said she wouldn’t be so keen to return to Corrie.
She told the panel: “I don’t think I can see myself going back to Coronation. The work schedule on that is relentless.
“Doing a drama like Bad Girls is a bit different.
“At that time there was nothing really had broken down those boundaries. But now when you look at Orange Is The New Black…”
Those watching at home were very excited about seeing the stars reunited and at the possibility of the show returning.

One fan wrote: “My dreams would come true if #badgirls came back on our TV's,love a bit of Karen Betts & Shell @claireking101 @DebraStephenson @loosewomen.”
A second tweeted: “I'd be so happy if Bad Girls came back🙏🏼 #LooseWomen #Badgirls.”
While a third pleaded with ITV to bring it back, writing: “Time for a #BadGirls revival? Both @DebraStephenson and @claireking101 said they would on #LooseWomen - @itv make this happen!”
Bad Girls aired on ITV from 1999 to 2006 - it receievd huge critical acclaim at the time and has since grown a cult following.
