MEL B "stabbed" Simon Cowell on America's Got Talent as she got revenge after his cheeky comment about her failed marriage.
The brash Spice Girl grabbed a toy knife and crept up behind her fellow judge before plunging the rubber prop into his chest a number of times.
Luckily, the dramatic scenes in the latest episode of the talent show were all in jest as the pair took part in mind trickery guru Colin Cloud's detective routine, inspired by Sherlock Holmes.
After wowing the live crowd with his mind reading act, he then used his psychic talents to convince the popstar to target the dad-of-one with a weapon.
Colin called out: "I would love you please to stab Simon in the chest!"
Pink-haired Mel called out "yes!" excitedly before grabbing the rubber knife and bashing it against his upper body from behind.
Afterwards, a stunned Simon said: "I'm just sort of collecting myself a little bit at the moment.
"I nearly got murdered on live TV."
He added Mel didn't realise the knife was rubber and was "prepared to kill me."
During a chat with ET online Simon, 57, added: "Mel B's got the knife, I'm going to be murdered on live TV.
"She's going to love it.
"The ratings will probably go up."
After being quizzed about her conduct towards her boss, typically brash Mel retorted: "He's not my boss, I'm the boss of me."
She didn't hold back in exacting her revenge after Simon mocked her marriage drama in the previous episode - which saw her chuck a glass of water on him in response.
Mel, 42, threw her drink over the TV mogul when he made the sarcastic quip while criticising a magic act.
Watch the Quarter Finals on Tuesdays at 8pm and the results on Wednesday at 8pm.
He told an escapologist whose trick flopped: “I kind of imagine this would be like Mel B’s wedding night.
“A lot of anticipation — not much promise or delivery.”
Millions across the US saw Scary Spice, who is locked in a lurid divorce battle, go berserk.
Embarrassed Cowell, 57, tried to put on a brave face as she flounced off, leaving him with a dripping shirt.
