Sarah Harding’s dad warns she risks having ‘a nervous breakdown’ as Chad Johnson will ‘use her and dump her’
SARAH Harding’s dad has spoken out about his fears surrounding boyfriend Chad Johnson and worries the fling will cause his estranged daughter to have a “nervous breakdown”.
The pair met during Celebrity Big Brother with eventual winner Sarah dumping her boyfriend Aaron Lacey on the outside to pursue her relationship with Chad.
Despite their fledgling feelings the couple had a string of booze-fuelled fights in the house and now 35-year-old Sarah’s dad John Hardman says he doesn’t trust Batchelor star Chad, 30, with his daughter’s feelings.
He told : “Sarah has publicly shown that she is still confused and emotionally suffering after living for years in a bubble in the aftermath of fame.
“Chad isn’t what she needs in her life right now. Sadly but inevitably she’ll soon discover that he isn’t her Mr Right.
“He is typically brash and she knows nothing about him.
“He’s given nothing away about himself.
“He entered the house boasting only of his looks, so what does Sarah or anyone else really know about him?”
John, 64, has had no contact with Sarah for 17 years after he split from her mum Marie and failed to tell Sarah that her grandfather Patrick had died but he feels he can still see that she could be on the verge of a breakdown.
He added: “[Chad] acted as if he's Sir Lancelot but he’s only thinking about himself, not her happiness. He’ll use her and then dump her, leaving her once again to pick up the pieces.
“Sarah risks suffering a nervous breakdown – but if that happens I want her to know that I’ll always be there for her.”

This isn’t the first time John has voiced his concerns over the impact of CBB on her mental health and branded the show as “cruel TV” when she was in the house.
He told The Mirror: "Sarah's being cruelly exploited for ratings purposes. It would be in her best interests if Celebrity Big Brother arranged for her to leave - her health is in jeopardy.
"I can't bear to see my daughter break down and be forced to open her heart once more about her insecurities and vulnerabilities in front of cameras.
"It's cruel TV."
