Strictly Come Dancing reveal first official pictures of this year’s contestants including Charlotte Hawkins, Gemma Atkinson and Ruth Langsford
STRICTLY Come Dancing have revealed the first official pictures of this year’s 15 competitors, including Charlotte Hawkins, Gemma Atkinson and Ruth Langsford.
The glamorous group grinned as the got together for the shots, which saw them modelling some of their costumes for the show.
Strictly hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman beamed into the camera, while former Emmerdale star Gemma looked thrilled at showing off her sequinned outfit.
Yesterday, Good morning Britain star Charlotte Hawkins confirmed the BBC show would start on September 9.
That means contestants have just a fortnight to perfect their big group dance before launching into serious rehearsals with their pro partners.
GMB presenter Charlotte admitted on Friday morning she was still trying to get to grips with the routine, joking: "My head doesn't tell my feet what to do!"
None of this year's celebrities know yet who they'll be partnered with, as the pairing happens on launch night.
Charlotte has already, however, had a taste of waltzing with the show's pro Brendan Cole in front of former judge Arlene Phillips.
Brendan took Charlotte for a spin on the Good Morning Britain set after she was announced as a contestant earlier this week.
Arlene quipped afterwards: "Let the man lead! That was not bad for a first attempt, I'm giving a five.
"I think [Charlotte's] going to be fabulous."
