BACK TO REALITY The Love Island couples that didn’t last – from Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde to Alex Beattie and Montana Brown
Earlier this year Cara revealed she had found out she was pregnant two weeks before the split.
Speaking on This Morning in June about the pregnancy, she said: “We are really good, we’re constantly in contact, he knows everything that he needs to know.
“He was very shocked, just the same as I was, and we tried to make it work, but sometimes it’s better for the baby not to be in that volatile relationship.”
The pair were delighted when they discovered they were were going to have a boy.
Speaking to OK!, Cara said: “Obviously the main thing we wanted was for them to be healthy, but we were leaning towards wanting a boy, so we were so excited. We both just looked at each other and were like, 'Oh my God, it's a boy!'
“I'm not very girlie so I'd rather have a little boy who'll get all muddy than a little princess. I'm a bit more rough and ready. Now we know the sex, it's so much more real.”
